C3: Cylab Cybersecurity Challenges
Cylab is hosting cybersecurity coaching sessions!
Cybersecurity coaching sessions have been given for a couple of years now. Initially, its purpose was to train students for the CyberSecurity Challenge Belgium, but instead of focussing towards one competition, we opted for more general cybersecurity training sessions.
What you'll gain

Topics we'll cover
- Hidden information extraction from office documents and other files
- Steganography and hidden information extraction from audio files and images
- Database exploitation with tools like Sqlmap
- Network scanning and analysis with Nmap, Wireshark, Burpsuite etc.
- Web application attacks
- Password recovery and cracking
- Blockchain and smart contract exploitation
- Unpacking and reverse engineering Android APK applications
- Malware reverse engineering
- Buffer overflow exploitation
Who is able to attend
- Students from the Royal Military Academy
- Students enrolled in the joint Master in CyberSecurity (from ULB and others)
- Students *Cybersécurité* from Molengeek
What we ask from you
- Being able to work with a Linux command shell and a virtual machine (e.g. running an instance of Kali Linux)
- If you decide to join, we kindly ask you to be present during each session instead of showing up arbitrarily

Students eager to dive into the world of cybersecurity are welcome to join! A Discord channel will be made availble, containing all necessary and relevant information. At the end of the sessions of each (academic) year, we'll hand over a certificate of completion and last but not least, at the end of every session, we offer free pizza!
