Thibault Debatty leads the Cyber Defence Lab of the Royal Military Academy (RMA). He is also associate professor and teaches the courses “Introduction to networks and security”, “Advanced network security” and “Computer forensics” at the Royal Military Academy.

From 2022 till 2025 he was also president of the jury for the Master of Science in Cybersecurity organized by Universite Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), RMA and four other institutions.

He is a member of various working groups and committees like:

Thibault received his master’s degree in applied engineering sciences from the Royal Military Academy, then a master’s degree in applied computer sciences from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Finally, he obtained a Ph.D. with a focus on distributed computing from both Telecom Paris and RMA.
